NOTE: The front wheel motors are identical. The rear
axle motor has some differences from the front motors.
Service of the front and rear motors requires the same
procedures.
Disassembly (Fig. 64)
Clampthedriveshaftendofthepistonmotorinapro-
tected jaw vise with the cap screws up. Remove the six
cap screws (7) from the motor assembly.

Cleanliness is extremely important when repairing
these motors. Work in a clean area. Before disconnect-
ing the lines, clean port area of motor. Thoroughly clean
the outside of the motor. After cleaning, remove port
plugs and drain oil.

Use a soft face hammer and tap the backplate (2) to
