PTO Solenoid Valve Coil
The PTO solenoid valve coil on the transmission (Fig.
39)
can be replaced without opening the hydraulic sys-
tem.
Removal
1.
(or implement), engage parking brake, stop engine and
remove key from the ignition switch.
Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting deck

from the PTO solenoid valve coil connector.
Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector

Remove the nut from the spool assembly.
Slide the coil assembly from the solenoid valve stem
(Fig. 40).

Clean any corrosion or dirt from the valve stem.

Slide new coil assembly, seals and washers onto the

IMPORTANT: When securing solenoid valve coil to
solenoid, do not over–tighten hex nut.
