IMPORTANT: Prevent damage when clamping the
cylinder’s barrel into a vise; clamp on the clevis
only. Do not close vise on barrel.
A. Install piston seal and O--ring to the piston.
B. Install back--up ring, O--ring, wear ring, shaft seal
and dust seal to the head.

shaft surface.
3.
Remove retaining ring that secures head in barrel.
A. Use a spanner wrench to rotate head clockwise
until the edge ofthe retaining ring appears in the bar-
rel opening.
3.
Mount shaft securely in a vise equipped with soft
jaws by clamping on the shaft clevis.
A. Coat shaft with clean hydraulic oil.
B. Slide head and piston onto the shaft.
B. Insert a screwdriver under the beveled edge of
the retaining ring to start the retaining ring through
the opening.
C. Secure piston to shaft with lock nut. Torque lock
