Hydraulic Valve Solenoid Coil
A hydraulic valve solenoid coil on a hydraulic control
manifold can be replaced without opening the hydraulic
system.

decks, stop engine and engage parking brake. Remove
key from ignition switch.
Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting

Locate the solenoid valve coil that is to be replaced.

Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector
from the solenoid valve coil to be replaced.

Remove the nut from the hydraulic valve.
Slide the solenoid coil from the valve.

Clean any corrosion or dirt from the valve stem.

Slide new coil assembly onto the hydraulic valve.
Install the nut onto the valve and torque nut as fol-

lows (do not over tighten):
A. For solenoid valve S on the steering/engine cool-
ing fan control manifold, torque the coil retaining nut
to 10 ft--lb (13.5 N--m).

B. For all other solenoid valves on the machine,
torque the coil retaining nut to 5 ft--lb (6.7 N--m).
