Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch (Groundsmaster 5910)
The windshield wiper/washer switch is used to control
operation of the windshield wiper and washer pump.
The windshield wiper/washer switch is located in the
cab headliner (Fig. 83).
Testing

ignition switch.
Make sure ignition switch is OFF. Remove key from

Remove switch plate from cab headliner.
Locate windshield wiper/washer switch and unplug
wire harness connector from switch.

The switch terminals are marked as shown in Figure
The circuit logic of the wiper/washer switch is shown
Figure 83
in the chart to the right. With the use of a multimeter
(ohmssetting),theswitchfunctionsmaybetestedtode-
termine whether continuity exists between the various
terminals for each position. Verify continuity between
switch terminals. Replace switch if testing identifies a
faulty switch.

Connect the harness connector to the switch after
testing.

If switch tests correctly and circuit problem still ex-

ists, check wire harness (see Electrical Schematics and
Wire Harness Drawings in Chapter 10 -- Foldout Draw-
ings).
