If hydraulic fittings were removed from motor, lubri-

cate new o--rings, position o--rings to fittings and install
fittingsintomotorports(seeHydraulicFittingInstallation
intheGeneralInformationsectionofthischapter).Make
sure that fittings are orientated correctly.
Before opening hydraulic system, operate all hy-
draulic controls to relieve system pressure and
avoid injury from pressurized hydraulic oil. See
Relieving Hydraulic System Pressure in the Gen-
eral Information section of this chapter.
2. Install reel motor to cutting unit (see Hydraulic Reel
Motor Installation in the Service and Repairs section of
Chapter 7 -- Cutting Units).

Disconnect hydraulic hoses from fittings in reel mo-
tor.Allowlinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Remove
and discard o--rings.

Remove caps or plugs from fittings and hoses.
IMPORTANT: When installing the hydraulic hoses,
makesurethathydraulic hosesarestraight (nottwisted)
before tightening the hoses to the motor fittings.
