Hydraulic Solenoid Valve Coil
A hydraulic solenoid valve coil on the mow control man-
ifold (Fig. 66) or lift control manifold (Fig. 67) can be re-
placed without opening the hydraulic system.

Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine and engage parking brake. Remove key
from ignition switch.

Locate the solenoid valve coil that is to be replaced.
A. Tilt operator seat up to gain access to hydraulic
mowcontrolmanifold.RefertoFigure66forsolenoid
coil locations on the mow control manifold.
B. The lift control manifold is attached to a frame
bracket under the operator floor plate. Access to the
lift control manifold can be obtained by removing the
floor plate. Refer to Figure 67 for solenoid coil loca-
tions on the lift control manifold.

Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector
from the solenoid valve coil to be replaced.

Remove the nut from the hydraulic valve.

move coil spacer from hydraulic valve.

Slide the solenoid coil from the valve.

Clean any corrosion or dirt from the valve.

Installation

Slide new coil assembly onto the hydraulic valve.
If equipped (SV1 and SV3 on lift control manifold),
slide coil spacer onto hydraulic valve.

to 60 in--lb (5.4 to 6.7 N--m) (do not over tighten).
Install the nut onto the valve and torque nut from 48

Connect the machine wire harness connector to the
solenoid coil.
